Travel and Stay

To help you have a smooth and enjoyable experience, we’ve compiled some tips and tricks for traveling to our wedding.

Indian Celebrations in Bangalore

Our celebrations will be kicking off in Bangalore on Wed, 21st May. For those flying into India we recommend flying in on Monday May 19th or Tuesday May 20th to give yourself a day to settle in, or perhaps fly in earlier to explore India for a few days. The nearest airport is Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru. The airport has a well setup taxi/Uber service at a pre-defined rate which is safe to travel to your hotel.

The celebrations will primarily taking place at Chamara Vajra, located in Bangalore Palace. We recommend staying in ITC Windsor Manor which is just a short 5 minute drive away. Please contact us for help with hotel reservations.

Irish Celebrations in Limerick, Ireland

Our celebrations in Ireland will occur the following weekend after the celebrations in India, with a welcome gathering on Saturday 31st May 2025 and the ceremony taking place on Sunday June 1st 2025. For those flying into Ireland we recommend flying into either Dublin or Shannon Airport on Thursday 29th May or Friday 30th May.

Shannon Airport is just a 15 min drive from Dromoland Castle. If you are flying into Dublin airport, we’ll be organising travel from Dublin to Dromoland Castle on Saturday morning.

Things to do in Ireland

For those that want to explore Ireland during your trip, below are some recommendations to make the most of your stay.

Plan Your Itinerary Around Regions

  • Dublin: Explore the capital’s rich literary history, visit St Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street, the Guinness Storehouse and Trinity College’s Book of Kells, .

  • The West: On the doorstep of Dromoland Castle, drive along the Wild Atlantic Way, with highlights like the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and the Aran Islands.

  • The South & Southwest: Consider visiting the Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, and the charming town of Dingle.

  • Northern Ireland: Tour the Giant’s Causeway, explore Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, and delve into local history.

Experience the best of Irish food and culture:

  • Visit ancient castles and ruins to soak in Ireland’s medieval heritage.

  • Explore local museums and historical sites to learn about Celtic traditions and Ireland’s struggle for independence.

  • Enjoy traditional Irish music and dance sessions in local pubs—many towns have a vibrant live music scene.

  • Try classic Irish dishes such as Irish stew, soda bread, and seafood chowder.

  • Consider visiting distilleries or breweries for tours and tastings.

Be Prepared for the Weather

  • The weather in Ireland is always changing. June is usually between 11°C and 15°C but can often rain. We recommend having a raincoat handy, and umbrellas will be available in most hotels and local shops.

Embrace Local Transportation Options

  • If you are looking to explore Ireland outside of Dublin, renting a car can offer flexibility, especially in rural areas where public transport is less frequent.

  • In cities, use public transportation or join guided walking tours to easily navigate the compact streets and historical centers.

  • Consider booking train or bus tickets in advance during peak tourist seasons.
